- Handbook 4350.1 REV-1 Chapter 7, Section 4 sets forth the requirements for a budget-based rent increase. The forms are included in the appendices of Chapter 7.
- Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Program By law, only U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens may benefit from federal rental assistance. The SAVE Program is an inter-governmental initiative designed to aid benefit-granting agencies in determining an applicant’s immigration status, and thereby ensure that only entitled applicants receive federal, state, or local public benefits and licenses. For further instructions pertaining to the use of the SAVE System, refer to HUD Handbook 4350.3 REV-1, Change 3, Chapter 3 (3-12H).
